Chasing Mirrors: My Portrait Shape by Shape, the third exhibition of the project ran from 14 October 2011 -- 8 January 2012.

British-Iraqi artist Athier Mousawi collaborated on this participatory art project with young people from our three community partners An-Nisa, Paiwand and Tallo. Their dialogue, creative conversations and cultural exchange form this installation. Athier's practice combines geometric Islamic shapes, abstracted Arabic calligraphy and bold colours. Through participatory art workshops led by Athier, the participants created their own self-portraits for the installation and in response to their work and interaction over the summer, Athier painted a new large-scale non-figurative portrait of them. The works were then connected by a geometric floor pattern.
