I liked the modern fusion of the free style dancing and the burlesque spirit.
It didn't have that campy feel that makes me cringe-instead it was up to date and not sleazy.

Burlesque is NOT easy. And these girls are up there doing it. Maybe they are not equal to the standards of performers who have been doing this for years, but that's like saying that every community theater performance is bad because the actors aren't equal to DeNiro and Pacino. I thought it was well done and everyone seemed to be having fun. That's what burlesque is all about, isn't it?

Burlesque is about having fun with sex and working in theatrics.
Lots of reactionary prudes who want to think of themselves as hip will say they like burlesque, so long as it's demure and there's little nudity. This is great.

you are very right - it's a cheap imitation, if it can even be called that - search for Michelle L'Amour and then you'll get to see what the best of the best in burlesque today is.

this is not Burlesque. Burlesque i clasy, low and costumes are won not go- striper moves andclthing. The idea is to entice not give it all away, choreography, teazing it all matters.

I'm not saying the girls have no talent, but that just didn't seem like burlesque to me. They all just seemed like strippers in a strip club, who just happened to not take off their clothes. Meh.
