This is a demonstration showing how to build a lead for Brickwork. You use the lead as a guide for supporting your building line which is used to keep your brickwork level, straight and in range.

  • How long do you have to wait after laying out the corners before you can attach the sting line, thanks.

  • @benny5825 It depends on how long the wall is i.e. how much force you will need to apply in order to pull the line tight. The longer the wall is the more force will be applied when you try and pull the line so it is good and tight. Also how fast the mortar is drying out.

  • easy way hang a pole and mark the elevations you need to hit then get to it. Its all about making the cotton hop mate.

  • Can you tell me which type of bricks are totally uniform in overall size? So that when you do a run of bricks with 10mm perps, you don't have to cut a slice off one of the bricks, or move the bricks back to slightly to maintain the 10 mm perps. Or make a few of them with 8-9 mm perps so you still have almost 10mm on the last brick.

    Cheers
