M.T. grew up in a small town surrounded by apple orchards and woods, where he loved exploring the forest and creating an elaborate fantasy world from the things he'd find there. His love of fantasy became a love of literature and he began writing plays and stories, then great Young Adults novels like Feed, Thirsty, and Jasper Dash and the Flame-Pits of Delaware; as well as historical fiction like The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing.

Thank you, M.T. Anderson!!! Well put. I read your piece in Jon Sciezka's Guys Write for GUYS READ, then a friend saw me reaidng it and suggested Feed to me. What a helpful novel for our time...thanks also (even more!) for that. I appreciate your prescient point-counterpoint about the possibilities and probable perils of our present, poignant piece of how history hacks our hardware. (Sorry, couldn't resist...)
