@ryanmvillarosa SNK decided to combine the Art of Fighting series into King of Fighters. it was meant to be a bonus, but they have since ignored the birth dates and stuck them in the games regardless. Oddly enough they still have the dates listed to that day. Frankly, I think it's better if they simply retcon all the characters ages so that they are not only in the modern timeline, but reflect their age to current times.

u know..i know that Terry is the posterboy of FatalFury..but really..I WANT ANDY TO BE IN A GAME other ther then the FatalFury series..Andy is cooler imo

@ryanmvillarosa Simply by being the main characters of their respective franchises, the same way Ryu and Kyo are played up in CvS. Finally seeing them face off was one of KOF '94's biggest appeal (besides FFS, that is.)

@HeadHunterBTB: I've been wondering how Ryo became Terry's rival... is it because of the Southtown area? If we play their ages correctly in the timline, even Yuri Sakazaki is older than Terry, then again I may be wrong. Ryo became an enemy of Geese Howard when Geese was still muscling his way in Southtown (Art of Fighting 2 or 3).

@ryanmvillarosa True that. Although I'd probably say Terry has been in ALMOST as many games (cameo wise) as Ryo, though I'm sure Ryo has more. And yes that's pretty awesome, it's very rare for a character in ANY fighting game to be promoted from normal fighter to BOSS, so that definitely says something about how kick-ass Ryo is. Lots of people say he's a Ryu clone, but I actually find his style different enough to be unique.

Oh, and if remember correctly, Ryo was a Special Boss Character in Fatal Fury Special... Oh well, Terry was still young when Ryo was already beating the crap out of Geese Howard.

Ryo may not be the most popular but he has the most cameo appearances in most SNK games. Besides, he's one of the few regular characters in SNK to graduate from regular status to BOSS status... I have yet to see Terry Bogard become a Boss Character or Special Boss Character...
