I have never tried a natural starter. I use 1/8 tsp. of dry yeast to kick start my starter. It still has to sit for at least 24 hrs.I will have to try your method, just to see if the taste or texture is different. You could be the next Paula Deen. You have wonderful information, you demonstrate well, your voice is clear, you have a sense of humor, and you are a natural in front of the camera. You go girl. Love your videos.

Thanks I can now make sourdough bread at home, And I guess I'm lucky because I live in San francisco so it will taste amazing!

parts 1 and 2 are the single most informative and well explained guides to sourdough I have seen.
I have just started baking my own bread and have been looking to start a sour dough, after watching your video's I am about to start. Thank you.

i like your videos, you really look like you're enjoying this! i was wondering if i could skip the first steps and just put a larger amount of flour and water in a container and stir and then leave to ferment, instead of making a little bit of dough, then adding again etc. i know there must be a good reason behind this process, but i have been really pressed for time lately! can someone advise me on this? thnx again
