American oil companies have refused to build more refineries. They wish to maximize their profits by being able to control supply as much as possible.
As for ANWR: any oil obtained there and elsehwhere in the U.S. WOULD NOT BE SOLD WITHIN THE USA. The oil companies will sell the oil to the highest-bidding foreign nations.
So much for the "ANWR solution."

It will end when everyone stops buying any Exxon/Mobil. They are the largest and worst offenders. Don't buy from them till they are forced to lower their prices and the rest will have to follow.

It wasn't even all that long ago that national avg. was $1.45, but imagine in about twenty years pulling up to the pumps and just the regular unleaded fuel being $50+. Once the gas gets too ridiculous only the rich and powerful will be able to drive the Mustangs and Porsche's while were stuck with the Recharge Cars. Global Warming isn't going to be our downfall, it's the 5 million 900 Megaton nuclear warheads on the Moon Base thats going to kill us all.

How much did a chevy cost in 1950 vs Now? And as a percentage of the average disposable income from then until now. I think gas has been artificially depressed. No one cried for the oil companies in the 80's when it was $10 barrell. Don't use it then! Try buying fuel in Canada or Europe. Then again go to Kuwait if you want cheap gas.

I believe you added that to improve your public image.... why the capitals for example? For me the two cannot go hand in hand, you are expecting oil companies to reduce their prices and lose money and to promote research into alternatives that will take another bite of their "pie"? That's incredibly naive and totally unrealistic. The best way to promote other sources of fuel is to use them.

The capitals were instilled for you my friend. And yes it is a stretch for us to believe that the oil companies would forfeit some of their profits for this but also in light of their fleeting resources they would need to look for an alternate source of revenue by developing these alternate companies themselves.

If you want lower petrol prices then stop using it. It should cost more since America pollutes disproportionately & refuse to make significant changes to reduce the impact on our environment. If you want to start a revolution then why not make it something more responsible like "lets get together and recycle!". Oil is rocketing in price because (incase it has escaped your attention) it is running out - and posting this as a response to a totally unrelated popular video is pretty low.

I wish you had read my video info. This is a video is to promote things like renewable energy and spawn things like recycling. It was created to show the rise in gas prices in an artistic manner. Don't be an asshole and try and make a video of your own. How About That!
