I had both Ellingwood Point and Blanca Peak to myself this weekday morning. I had to start early in the morning, from my camp at about 2,800 metres (aprx 9,200 feet), not only to make it to work that evening but to walk most of the Lake Como Road - a horrendously rocky road that pretty much requires a "rock crawler" to make it all the way!

  • Ron, of course as I respond to you on this, the last day of January, the weather in this video looks downright pleasant!

  • Awesome. I used to hike the White Mountains in New Hamshire as a college age kid. Now I am into 4x4 trail rides in severe terrain. I saw somw youtube video of a 4x4 club going up to COMO LAKE and seeing your video helped me appreciate the fantastic terrain. Tnc for posting it.
