Thanks, for the amazing clip.
It's sad that Irina was in the shadow of Kabaeva, who was extermely overrated.
Irina's routine always had something special , she has something special about her.I respected her more after watching her interview on youtube, I understood why she looked sad at times.
judges can score the way they want, people are no fool and can tell the good gymnast from the bad one, and I'm sure many people agree that Irina is great gymnast

i like her more than Alina Kabaeva... she was always overshadowed by her.

Thank you, Kaja. Very nicely done. Time flies and it is growing more obvious that no one could be compared to her then ...

is it ok that after 4 years I still get teary eye from watching this??? :o
I´m a weeper lol.
oh Gosh I love her, I loved every single moment of her during her carreer......even when she failed.
She is a style icon in rhythmic gymnastics, pretty much the first of her kind and I highly doubt we´ll ever see someone as amazing and unique as her.
she is truly 1 in a million, and definitely she´ll always be the best for me.
I love Irina and I miss her terribly

I see. Thank you for the reply. I guess it's time to get a bag of stuffed animals. =D

well i dont usually see judges throw anything, because well.. they're judging i dont think it would be professional of them to show how they feel strongly compelled after a performance. Usually the audience does it

Thank you. If you don't mind me asking just one more, who does it then? Audience or judge?
isn't her last name spelled Tchachina

Actually, there's no real letter by letter translation of the name Chaschina from cyrillic to latin letters, because the Ch (Tch) and sch (ch) are letters in cyrillic that have no equal in latin. The most common version is Tchachina, because it's what sounds the most correct in english pronounciation, but Chaschina is more correct directly translated, and is what russians write when they write these letters, so that's why I use it. Plus I think it's prettier =)

There's something un-this-worldly about Tchachina. The first time I saw her was in the Madrid Worlds. The way she moved on the floor...simply stunning, reminding me of a nymph. Of course I didn't know how a nymph should look like. The idea just flashed into my head and I have always had the feeling about her since then.

Yes, indeed she has this unexplainable, subtle charisma and elegance.

No, she's not dead. I made this montage to say goodbye when she retired from gymnastics ;)
