Video shows eagle and red-tailed hawk attacked by songbirds including the Oriole Red-Winged Blackbird cardinal

Although songbirds are sweet and have great songs, they can also protect themselves. Such birds as hawks and eagles attack them, especially young ones in the nest.

Shows an eagle by its nest being attacked by an oriole or cardinal. The hawk seemed to view the church as protecting it, as it perched on the steeple.

  • Yeah, I always see the hawks soaring and being chased away by smaller hawks and red winged black birds.

Theres a broad winged hawk in my neighborhood that always goes after a red tailed hawk.

  • Passerines sure don't like raptors, especially during nesting season. It's a tough being a hawk.
