Agree completely that Rafi's voice seems a bit flat as against Kishore's but Rafi was more versatile in terms of range. But what a Duo!!!!! INDIA's greatest gift to the Music World was this Awesome Duo!!!! God bless them both.

When singing with Kishore here, Rafi sounds a bit average in comparison. He has a lighter voice and not as much a zingy edge to his voice as Kishore's.

I don't agree with delicatekatie's view that R.D.Burman ignored Rafi. The songs which required his and his voice only have been given to him by R.D. as he himself has admitted. The songs given to Rafi by R.D. have always been exceptional and shined well.

I don`t know hindi much but first I read about him in a book but now I`m his divotee...Rafi saeb is greatest,saint by nature,once,ignored by all because of RD burman,made a great come back thru Rd burman`s Kya hua tera waada and humkisi se kam nahi title song,in 1978,in next two years he gave all the major super hits,he died in july 1980.and 1980 saw more than 30all time rafi hits,maine pucha chand se,tu is tarah se,puchho na yaar kya hua,etc including song of kalia ,yaarana,naseeb etc in 1980,
