Pay TV - Fashion Report - Bitley's Scritley Remix

In 2008, I was contacted by the techno and house legend Håkan Lidbo and he asked me to do something fun with his PAY TV euro pop project's track Fashion Report. It was made to be released as a US release and Håkan was very happy about the remix but something happened along the way and it unfortunately didn't get released. As such, it didn't get properly mastered either, but here's at least what I did with it. If you like Scritti Politti you should be able to like this perhaps. I took down the tempo to midtempo and I was totally inspired by the Scritti track The Word Girl. However, no samples except the original PayTV vocals were used, everything is programmed from scratch using Reason 4. Thanks for checking it out and enjoy the listen. I must admit the video might not be much watching as it's only a simple iMovie edit but it gives you a little more background on what PayTV is / was. Published with kind permission from Håkan Lidbo. Nice vibe...good sound quality; kinda hi-fi FM radio sound...hints of Steely Dan/DonaldFagin in there plus a bit of skanky dub. The track is quite catchy too...it grew on me as it went along. Like it.
