@Foompahloompah Just laziness, I guess. Climbing in jeans might be a Flagstaff thing. I climb in sweats nowadays.

@Foompahloompah nice to have a little knee protection. I used to be shorts all the way but then started to roll my cuffs. More room and just more hippy i guess. Lol. wow... never thought about it but if you look at old school climbers they often climbed El Cap in what seemed like street clothes. Even a little fabric on my knees might prevent a scrape i guess.
