News invited Richard Halsey, director of the California Chaparral
Institute, to appear on their show. The footage speaks for itself.

  • ...The other side - Chris Horner - seems more interested in interrupting, twisting Halsey's words, and obfuscating the issue. Horner's presentation is filled with animosity and contempt. As a viewer, and a resident in Southern California who's had to evacuate from these wildfires multiple times in the past, I'm finding Horner's argument strikingly lacking in credibility. He's not presenting data or making any points - he's simply calling names and getting antagonistic.

  • This isn't a "fair and balanced" representation. This is a sensationalism piece. Here we have ferocious wildfires tearing through our communities, devouring homes and destroying lives, and two sides of an argument on how to address and mitigate the threat. One of those sides - Richard Halsey - is apparently attempting to have a rational discussion, to calmly express his informed position...
