@SteveSabbai This really depends on the LED you use, what battery solution you provide for the LED, and if there is a current-regulating driver controlling things or not. Additionally, you have factors such as blade length, diffusion material inside the blade (which "catches" the light, much like any lamp you'd see in your house), and several other factors.
Ultimately--I would pick the five colors you LIKE best. They will all be "bright" if you do things correctly, though. :)

I have to admit, I'm really new to this. Which one is better overall? And what is a hyperblade exactly? I understand it's probably a different type of LED at the base? Also, is the hyperblade more prone to breaks? I can see the light gap at the top, is that a common occurrence in Hypers? Do Hypers trade off durability for aesthetics? I know there are a lot of questions, but I honestly don't even know where to start in building these.

@AyanaLinval Zounds, that's a lot of question! :) The quickest way I can respond--yet give you info--is to say that YES... the technologies of "Hyperblades" vs. "Luxeon style" blades are different. I would say that--by default of PHYSICS--yes, the Hyperblade is prone to destruction. Maybe not "tomorrow", maybe not "next week", but... yes--over time.
Even that being said--"Luxeon" / flashlight style blades give a run for everyone's money on brightness... and certainly for durability.

what kind of blade was on the "Flange iii" with the green K2? That was AWESOME!

Nothing fancy... just a blade I setup myself, using the "Ultra" style of diffusion, which is essentially polypropylene (gift wrap!).
Also, b/c the Flange III sabers ("darkside" & "lightside") both got used IN EXCESS... like 100s and 100s of hits... the blades became... uhh... "naturally"(?) sanded in a very smooth, subtle way.
This "sanding" further aids the light diffusion to a certain extent.
However... sand a blade TOO much... and the color "dulls", so it's not as ideal.
