This is the fight sequence I directed and choreographed from the short film, "Trixie Jones". It's in the same hard-hitting contact-based martial arts choreography style as the Tony Jaa films "Ong Bak" and "The Protector". It stars Sarah Moser. Stunts by Mike Truong, Jacob Roark and Myself.

You can watch the full version of "Trixie Jones" here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C1zE3OJUSM

  • This is actually quite good. A lot of people just don't understand that the hardest part about a fight scene is actually making sure no one gets hurt. Those kicks are fast...

  • @Ragiph1 Kicking ass is it not obvious? C:

  • or just disabled person who has some training, could fight and beat someone who is stronger, faster, and equally skilled if not more skilled. It'll be tough to pull off because I have to finish healing and-of course- not hurt myself (I have scenes where he attacks my spine directly, throws me to the ground...I may need re-think those ones hehe), but-for me anyway-the key to winning means staying on my feet, avoiding take-downs at all costs and let 17 years of training do their thing.

  • which means no acrobatics. I basically am trying to-along with a very complex story that goes far beyond a simple martial arts movie, its more like an animited semi-motion-comic with live actors fighting and acting on drawn backdrops (or "panels"). The character I play is largely based on me and what I know as far as combat goes, but he has special abilities but has been affected by a degenerative spine disorder so he's gradually getting worse. I want to show how a disabled fighter-

  • @SiriuzGrey, and another "what-if?" scenario where my friend, a body-builder who has also been out of training for awhile due to injuries (but he is 2 months back in and is just massive, even though I'm 6'3 and 235 he makes me look small while still moving pretty damn well), and I have to take him on in a surprise attack. Right now I move worse than Dolph Lundgren did in the Name of the King 2 (where he suffered a back injury during filming) So my style is very stiff right now

  • @SiriuzGrey, exactly! I can only hope that I can produce fight scenes even an iota as good as some of the ones I've seen on here! (and I got 11 years boxing, 5 years krav maga, 10 years tae kwon do, 2 years wing chun, and 12 years of knife fighting techniques taught by my dad, who is ex spec-ops). I'm also undefeated in my amateur career. Right now I'm trying to create some fight scenes based on one real-life incident (that I'll make look much cooler than it really was, of course)-
