Season 1 intro to the wonderful Jay Tarses series: The Days And Nights Of Molly Dodd.
"Thinking Man's Pinup" is what they called her, right? I had a thing for her when I was a teenager. Now I'm older than her and I understand her a lot more.
Show is so funny and, sometimes, unbearably sad.

It wasn't the greatest show, but it was interesting. And Blair was hot, so worth watching.

Blair Brown's Molly Dodd looks ever so beautiful and yet so intense and introspective at :29. It's been nearly 25 years since I watched the first season and I do agree that it was cutting edge (and cerebral) when it first aired on TV

I was in my 20's when this program was on & I rarely ever missed it. It was a good show & it just brings back memories of that time in my life. If I'd only known then what I know now....I'd be rich & a lot smarter when I was half my age now.

Just the kind of programme I've always enjoyed... Quiet, witty, wonderful dreamlike theme tune, attractive lead... And it had the enigmatically cool - or coolly enigmatic ? - David Strathairn... Also remember the talkative, philosophical lift attendant...
The only other comparable series, though in quite a different situational context, was Now and Again with Eric Close & Margaret Colin...
One in a while a quiet gem turns up amongst the pile of garish paste... How long til the next one... :)

Wow, blast from the past. My best memory of this show was Molly apparently going straight to bed from her shower wrapped in a towel.

Does anyone know who edited this?

@Cranberries87 I agree, except I don't like the shot of her smiling to the camera at about 0:23. It kills the illusion that we're outside observers peering into her life. Some versions of this that I've seen have this shot removed, which is a smart idea.
