I have to note that you smoke the cigarette almost as a punctuation, and it's a relatively long beat so it doesn't blend in but instead interrupts the flow of the words in regular intervals, giving the whole thing a bit of a monotonous rhythm.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have put it in - it adds some nice character/atmosphere. However, you should have broken up the rhythm of smoking to add some ebb and flow to the monologue, make it more interesting.

Otherwise still pretty good though. Props!

Well vapidkunst, I can definitely see your point. The problem, however, is that the brooding film-noir look comes off as a copy of a copy, recognizing its inexorable parodic nature while trying to glean a bit of that "cool."

The reason I think he looks like such a totally insufferable doucebag is because he still wants to hold on to a bit of that existential "cool" while refusing to honestly acknowledge how incredibly fucking nerdy this thing is. It's like what happens when conservatives rap.
