I was impressed by June Anderson. I thought she had a good instrument that she used well and that was flexible, strong and interesting. I did think she was influenced a bit by Sutherland but had enough of a unique quality to stand out. Her Lucia was good as was her Semiramide, Gilda and Traviata. She was wonderful in Concert with Alfredo Kraus and I value that recording. alas faded away quickly but quite enjoyable while the voice obeyed. Where is she now? Teaching?

@qawwi It was a Shemp, not a Curley, feature.

@martapoes: effortless is rite. What it must feel like to know that the voice is going to work for you however u want it 2. Marvelous Pavarotti

Yes, you are right. Maybe I exagerated when I said this was the ONLY way to enjoy it. At least I can say I have learned a lot everytime I buy a new opera CD with the booklet, so I can read the words. I can give you many examples, like the tragedy of Canio in Pagliacci, or the touching Vissi d'arte of the second act of Tosca, or the beautiful Di provenza il mare, il suol of La Traviata. Thank you for your reply. Greetings from Mexico.
Fabulous performance! cwecub's comment is quite disgusting!
