This is an environmental poem set to a background music that I created and performed. I found many photos online to create a fitting slideshow, but none of the photos were my own. I'm actually pleased with my result, at least for now. I just wish I had done this even sooner. I will have more to come for my Eden's Day Group and just more period. (Takes a while to get copyrights back) Eden's Day will be up indefinately so hopefully many people from all over will discover and approve of it.
The clip was based on facts taken from an actual NBC nightly news program about a year ago this time according to the date I wrote on my poem. It really stayed with me after I watched the show and I finally got it all out onto paper. I didn't actually make it into a clip though until just recently. I got inspired though a nightmare to create my Eden's Day youtube group. Nightmares often give me courage and motivation. I think it's so important to get the facts straight about things that are dangerous. I actually watched some far-fetched youtube videos that blame global warming on a mysterious Planet X that is interfering with Earth's magnetic field. There is no scientific proof or even evidence that shows us how that would even be possible, or even how much further out from Pluto "Planet X" may or may not be located. There is, however, a proven direct correlation between the weather and greenhouse gas emissions.
My grandmother used to live in Pasedena, Texas in a nieghborhood close to the Shell refinery. All day and all night you heard that thing pulsating like a giant heartbeat and with every pulse another giant puff of pink smoke was emitted into the sky. The smokestack fills the whole sky over Pasedena with thick, pink smoke and you can't see the stars at night at all, just a layer of thick, pink cloud. Then the pink cloud mixes with the real clouds when it rains. We don't get to see it quite like that in California, but there is plently of "pink sky" out here, especially in the L.A. areas.
This Earth Day gives me hope. The message is getting out and people actually KNOW how to help now and so that's all we have to do. There are solutions being put into action, as well, like a nonemissions coal plant, the hydrogen fuel cell, and landfill areas are being ecologically restored where ever possible. People are getting the message, switching to hybrids and "going green." It's the wave of the future. I am ashamed to say, though, that I still am glad that I don't have children because of all of the uncertainty and I am ashamed that this is the current state of my world. I doubt that I will get to change my mind any time soon, but maybe not, if everyone can just agree on that one simple fact: we will all die if the planet becomes too warm and we will go through living hell before we get to THAT point. I hope that I can help, instead. Happy Earth Day!!
Peace, love and unity,
Petras Bixby

so you think that youre the only living being on this earth worthy of a life? you are the most ultimate form of selfishness to all living creatures and earth itself. If you ask me i dont think you deserve to experience the "life in your years"

who cares?
live your life the way you want to and then die.
