Strange how bad the drums sounded back then, bouncing off every possible surface...
But, this just adds to the charms of the period.

It's interesting to watch the early Zoo TV indoor clips. The band seem highly self-conscious, willing themselves (Bono especially) to play out the sleazy rock star schtick. The stage presentation (compared to what was to come) seems to diminish it all somewhat: the insane size of the outdoor Zoo TV stadium shows gave them the idiot bravado that's somewhat lacking here.

Listen to the 'Wide Awake' part in 'Bad', studio version ;) Also the unforgettable documentary when he sings "The Unforgettable Fire" to a mic, he goes to a C. ;)

I agree! Have you got footage of a C# in chest register? The chorus in Pride consists 'only' a B, which is also very good.
