The Moby Grape volunteered to be the first band to play on Saturday at the '67 Monterey Pop festival which featured bands like Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, Booker T & many others. This week will feature some of the first licks played at this historic event.

Today's lick was also inspired by Freddie King and continues the east meets west theme from Monday. The lick is based on the A Minor Pentatonic scale pattern and starts by bending the 8th fret/1st string. You continue the lick by playing and bending notes using other positions of the scale pattern.
