A photogenic tornado at Campo, Colorado on May 31st, 2010. Our storm chasing team had to not only navigate around the tornado, but we also had to contend with an unexpected obstacle: A herd of stampeding cows. It was one of my most surreal storm chasing experiences and was totally hilarious.

  • wow that is a hillarious chase. how close was the tornado when that happened? XD

  • "We have cows!"..."Another cow!"...."Actually I think that was the same cow." What movie is this from?

  • did the cows die??? after that

  • LOL Poor Cows!

  • Post from an imaging board concerning the video:

"Well cows instinctively stampede away from tornadoes. It's not like they've watched the Wizard of Oz or anything. They just know - giant towering black vortex ripping up the ground while sounding like a freight train = bad."

  • Great Video :-) should have more clicks

  • bad whether but good times :)

  • george kourounis, storm chaser and amateur cattle herder
