  • This is an 06. The main thing I've got against custom pipes is, when you open the exhaust you have to tune the carburetor (bigger jets or replace with aftermarket carb) and the valves (new camshaft) to the new exhaust in order to get the added horsepower. Other than doing ALL the work you just move power from one spot in the revs to another. For a Japanese bike it's just too much work for a machine that comes from the factory tuned pretty close to full power.

  • Umm... to tell the truth, I'm not really into the custom pipe scene. I'll probably run the stock one till it fails or I sell the bike.
