The Potomac River's Harry Nice Bridge

Ride with me across the Gov. Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge from King George County, Virginia into Charles County, Maryland across the Potomac River south of Washington, D.C. This is the only bridge across the Potomac River south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge at the 495 beltway. In 2011, the toll for a car is $3 southbound and northbound is free. Because of the narrow lanes and no emergency shoulder, as well as concern about it's structural integrity and rough surface after so many decades of use, many citizens have expressed the need for a new bridge.
