This scene, from a German/Czechoslovakian fairy tale adapation, had such a great impact on me as a young child that I never forgot it.
The story is that of a spoiled prince who sets out to rescue maiden Mahalena from the evil golden lord, who has in fact turned Mahalena into gold. Assisting him is his servant Johannes, who was given a thorn crown by his king that can predict the immediate future. In this scene they have discovered the golden lord's home in the mountains where enchanted people help him collect his gold.
Daumen hoch!

That's Vladimír "Ady" Hajdu, a Slovak actor. He's in his early 40s about now, but still hasn't changed much in looks since the making of this movie }which was way back in 1986). :-) It's interesting to hear the German dub, I never heard it before finding it here on YouTube.

Oh my God, this is scaring. I always liked the actor who played poor Johannes who almost died in the end...
