an Airbus Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, on a wet & windy day. nearly crashed during a crosswind approach on the runway 23 at the airport Hamburg International (EDDH) on 1st march 2008 in Germany. on a hard cross wind approach landing.

To all that say something they read somewhere, like , " Shoulda diverted!" or how the tower should have closed the field, A) tower doesnt make that call. B) diverted due to sheer? I dont think so. Its a one shot deal or microburst, and unless published due to continuing effects, whereby the filing pilot would anticipate this, "diverting" if like getting out of your car and walking home due to traffic. Doesnt work like that. Guys with a little information, leave the critique to real pilots.

You know, I may not be an expert. I have only 11,000 tt, and am typed on 73's 75's, and now drive the Bus A330/340 style. While I know only what I have actually done, and no more, no less. But I have to say, theirs about 100 too many guys who live in the basement of moms hous, flying computer games, thereby feel the need to comment on every Youtube movie about a bad approach. To everyone that said something so far off base about drinking or girl comments. Grow a set, and take a lesson.
