Doug Young - 12-String Yamamoto Baritone - Solo Guitar

Tony Yamamoto built this 12 string baritone guitar. With a 28.6 inch scale, it's a real monster. I'm still trying to learn how to best use it. This is a little tune I wrote on the guitar, just trying to leverage the sustain and big bottom end. Add &fmt=18 to the url for better sound!

that was very nice, what strings were you using on that? I've got a 26.5" 12, and am experimenting with string sets, tuning down 3-4. BTW, this was 3 years ago, still have it?

@MrOddmanout1 At the time this was recorded, I had custom strings we'd experiment with. Mostly D'Addario, with a .70 on the bottom and 15s on the top. I've recently just used medium gauge 12-string strings and that seems to work well, too. Maybe a little less bass, but much easier to play! Yes, I still have it

tony yamoto has some talent. it sounds great clean bell like tone.
