  • I think the world is becoming multipolar. The reason China will take advantage of African development is that the United States has a post-industrial economy. China, on the other hand, is still an industrial economy. Africa needs indusrial goods and major construction. The United States does not focus on this.

  • I don't know about the US, but I would be very surprised if the EU does anything considering that militarily they can't compare with either the Americans or the Chinese.

    I think China in the future will dominate Africa and possibly create an outright empire there, because the US economy is going to totally collapse and the Europeans are just too passive to act against it.

  • I wonder if China will ever attempt to deploy troops in order to increase stability in Africa.  While this would be helpful to both Africa and China it would be interesting to see how the West responds.
