First concert I ever went to, I was 12 and these guys opened for the Flaming Lips. AoL blew them outta the water.

I miss Archers of Loaf. I was fortunate to see them three times.

I was lucky enough to catch Archers three separate times. Nothing will ever beat their sound live. I even got pulled into a fussball tournament involving the band. It mwas myself and Eric B vs. Matt G. and a friend of mine. Hell of a band.

I have to agree. I never did see Archers but I saw Crooked Fingers open for Bright Eyes and Azure Ray in '00. I actually just went for Crooked Fingers.

They played this in Toronto this year when touring with Okkervil River. Having been a grad student Chapel Hill from 1993-1998, I was floored. I love his new stuff, but this terrific song evokes a lot of memories, and it's fun to see him play the Archers stuff after all of these years. Thanks a million for posting.
