I watched about 200 surround test videos at youtube, but non of them was really working. So I decided to produce a short test on my own. The original file works perfectly, hope it also works at youtube.

YouTube only supports 2 channels. I really hope you immature idiots can face the facts. What you thought you were hearing was your sound card or device making its own surround sound mix just like a receiver does. People are so uneducated theses days it's truly sad.

you imbecile cannot grasp the fact that on a 5.1 system if stereo sound is provided by codec output the sound card driver will emulate 5.1 sound so that ur inbred ears can listen to 5.1 and stop bitching about how shitty life is...

I downloaded the video on this page and opened it with mediacoder, what a surprize:

audio codec: aac

bitrate: 124 VBR

sample rate: 44100 Hz

Channes: 2 !

1. max quality for wav format is 11,025 Hz 16 bit PCM stereo

2. any moron knows that on YOUTUBE the first resolution to accept 5.1 is 720p, its is not a general thing but it is the case on youtube cause thats how the compression is made on encoding the video

Good test man, and .wav supports 5.1, so does the youtube, and btw i watched the video at 360p, i just tested it and works great, the sounds are sampled per channel, every channel plays a different instrument, its great.. so before complaining, check if you set up yours sound system correctly...
