man im in granite shop. iam templating and installing. and the balsa wood u r using is the best method. iam calling it idiot proof. [because the idiots on the back understand all of it no problem.]

Bob,

Stay away from granite is expensive material and a one time shot to fab you might hurt a fabricators pocket or a ruin a homeowners project,at the end you forgot to mention you are not a expert and don't try this at home and your video skips a little,I'm a 25yrs experienced biz owner, by the way good luck on all your templates.

This video is about using inexpensive material to guarantee a great result with the expensive material. If a homeowner wants to hire a installer to install granite thats fine but I see no reason why a person with reasonable skills cannot make their own template===Bob Also I have used this method of templating with other products besides granite and maybe a homeowner could use for that also! THANKS FOR WATCHING!

you are good doing it, I'm a mexican guy, i have been doing this for 9 years (fabricating,cutting sinks, installing and templeting) and all i can say is that u r right about what u r doing and saying.

after you are done ur job, can you take those wood apart after they have been glued together for other templates? how? can you list the material you used in writing please?

This seems so much more long winded than using Cordek board, basically it's a see through acrylic sheet, around 3mm thick. Just place it on your base units, mark whatever you neet to cut and trim it with a stanley knife/ There's hardly any joining involved, it's very light but rigid and it wont expand with moisture. Cordek is definitely the easiest and quickest way for templating
