This piece, one of my favorite in the Panzer Dragoon series, can be heard during the first level of the game. It's a masterpiece that goes hand in hand with flying on dragonback through ancient ruins.

  • i never played the original, but thankfully i have Orta, which is finally on the 360's compatability list. once you've beat orta, it unlocks a fully playable port of the original Panzer Dragoon, and aparently (i haven't checked yet, but i recall reading in the manual a while back) you can also play Zwei. the only one which it doesn't have is Saga, which is the one i am most DYING to play. that game is virtually impossible to play nowadays, unfortunately.

  • @EpicZantetsuken "unfortunately", Orta only has the original game as an unlockable. Try downloading the ROMs and playing Zwei and Saga on an emulator, or even better, burn them to a disc and play them on an actual Sega Saturn. Let me know if you need help modifying your console to do so.

  • Who would ever think that a videogame could have such an awesome soundtrack???? This is comparable to Sonic, Nights, Outrun, and even SHENMUE for crying out loud!!! (All of which are Sega mind you ;))

  • Sega always made good music in their games

  • Thank god I still have the Saturn :D Good memories<3

  • also nie mehr schuften bin so reich

  • I remember all of my friends coming over to watch me play this game because it was so epic and nobody else had a Sega Saturn within a 100-mile radius haha. Good times!

  • That's a good point, person under me. Unfortunately games have almost completely gone 2012 on the creativity in general. Amazing compositions like this I havent heard in a game since...?

  • It's true that a lot of big brand Western companies now use existing record label music (think Burnout, or Dirt).

The reason being that the games have become too reality / simulation based to use fantastical music effectively. Often there is no real music at all.

But because the Japanese treat gaming as often fictional and fantasy based, they often have fantastical compositions made for games.

The west did make some great compositions in past generations, but seems to have moved away from that.

  • Magnificent

  • @ATP2555ify damn >:(

oh well. are there roms of Zwei and Saga?

  • @EpicZantetsuken you can't play Zwei. I've only seen the first one.

  • @Creative1722 I know. Japan actually puts effort into their game sound tracks.

  • japanese music art, like this, always make me cry

  • Real music.

  • Am I the only one that thinks that this game's 20 fps cap adds to the gaming experience?

  • @WingedBeings

I need help. How do you do all that?

  • Best soundtrack ever. love thev cave part so good arrangements

  • 1:52 i always get chills at this part

  • Oh god I wanted to cry

  • This is my favorite song in the game. :)

  • I recently picked up a copy of Panzer Dragoon for ¥10 at a Japanese game shop. I was pleasantly surprised when I put the disc in my PC, I was able to rip the soundtrack and it's awesome! So far this is my favorite track. I love it when the orchestral hits come in at 1:52. The whole song is beautiful and epic while at the same time, like most Sega tunes, it's pretty fast and energetic.

  • Yeah this is legendary Music score. I am hoping to see a new Panzer Dragoon for PS3 that would be amazing =0)

  • pansy dragon

  • hmm this kinda reminds me of the "theme of shaft" especially the flute parts and the percussion parts and part at 1:14
