In this two-part documentary, Oxford Professor Richard Dawkins examines how religious faith is gaining ground in the face of rational, scientific truth. The program takes you to some of the world's religious hot-spots, both in America and the Middle East. Dawkins meets with religious leaders and their followers, as well as scientists and sceptics to examine the power of religion. Interviews with former Pastor Ted Haggard, the novelist Ian McEwan, the former Bishop of Oxford, and others offer valuable insights into the global impact and consequences of faith in the 21st century.

Along with his million-copy best-seller The God Delusion, Richard Dawkins' Root of All Evil? has helped inspire people of reason worldwide to say "Enough is enough!" Our modern world is the product of a long march from ignorance and fear to the Enlightenment and beyond, always guided by the power of science and reason. To now abandon our endeavour toward progress and knowledge for faith and superstition puts humanity in peril.

  • this is disgusting. I find these people to be the most despicable filth on the planet. Religion is vile & repulsive. this makes me sick

  • Its also a sin to work on sunday so i think all priests will die in sin

  • Sadistic SOB!

He should be locked up for child abuse, along with every parent that takes their kids to that hideous performance of bronze-age tribalism!

  • These christians are sick.

  • @BibleGeeek normal kids with christian parents = Allready in HELL

  • gay kids with christian parents = serious risk of HELL!

  • The Bible says the heretic should be killed. The comtext of this is a nation in which God is the Monarch. Subverting God's rule is then treason. But wait, isn't treason a serious crime in most civlized nations? In times of war it is a capital offense.

The man and his daughter: There a lot of people in the Bible who did not act according to the morality that resides in God. This story takes place at a time of serious moral decline. To use this as Dawkins does seriously distorts the point.

  • The drama is horrific, and I'm saying that as a Christian. But when Dawkins says,"what right have you to interfer," he is imposing upon these people his own opinion just as certainly as this pastor is imposing on the congregation his (or the Bible's, though I have reservations about that) opinion. If Dawkins feels he has a right, it must be based on popular opinion not science, the fallacy of appeal to popularlity.

  • you forgot what the American and Biritish did to the Iraqis. They murdered these people.

  • Homosexuality is a white thing...
