Ah Austerlitz, Napoleon's military genius really came alive here he formed his army so that one of his flanks was weak making the Russians and Austrians launch an attack of their good high ground then he sent in the cavalry to flank the enemy and won the day. These battle are breathtaking and intresting military history will never have wars like this anymore today there is a more modern type of warfare

@ThePrussianPrince Oh, and i really like your HOI3 walkthrough. I'm kind of struggling with the immense depth of game myself and your videos have been very helpful. Good job, fellow countryman :D

@neacapatoiu it would have been ok if we saw more tactical depth from the battles. How they would play out cronologically and tactically, the aftermath: who wins, who looses. Most of the time, i'm having trouble distiguishing between the french and what ever army it's battling at the moment.

I don't mean to rant, of course, but i really saw potential in the clean and proffesional way xtheatroN made this clips, and i would really like to see them made even better.

@ThePrussianPrince Oh, but i know people dying is totally ok (however sick it may sound :P), but here it's awkward because of the limited number of animations and models (it's just like you would see the same guy bitting the dust over and over the same way every time). Been watching the clips some more and another thing that bothered me, is that you don't get any sense of the placement of troops or how the battle plays out. You mostly see cannons shooting and people dying.

@neacapatoiu Sorry, but I disagree. Not entirely, though. I think the number of people shown dying is OK, but the fact that near the end it just shows people dying is kind of repetitive. It should've been more diverse, and have something in between them dying. If there were less people shown dying, I wouldn't be as entertained.

Amazing work with the camera with addition to your editing and effects skills. This looks to be as high quality as it gets when it comes to TW videos.

oh, and there are too many shots with people dying. It gets very repetitive fast. You're on the right track, though, and i really think you could make those battles look terrific ;)

The execution and effects are really good, but you make the battles too drawn out and it starts to get boring. You could try to make the cuts a bit faster, or the camera angles more diverse, as to maybe hide some of the engine limitations as well (it has quite a few animations and it gets really repetitive). Maybe even make the clips shorter.

The art of battle scenes is very complicated, but i think the game is a great tool to make some really interesting ones.
