  • Who is the South African in this video?

  • James is a hero to the very sense of it.....

  • Pretty raw, strong photography...

  • @ehunter2 yup. i'm sure that's EXACTLY the intention Nachtwey has for doing what he does. To serve the people's "thrill" who don't ever have to deal with this shit unlike the man who's life Nachtwey pleaded for. Just a question, if this is a form of propaganda then what is this trying to influence people to do? Graphic scenes appealing to people for thrills is a form of entertainment, not propaganda. if this is propaganda at all then it is the only positive use of propaganda I've ever seen.

  • @ehunter2 I somewhat agree with what you're saying, but as myself wanting to be a photojournalist and cover this type of stories, this , thrilling people for the fun of it, would not be and is not what i want to achieve. Some people watch videos of people dying for the fun of it. But there are also those out there that would help out and do something about it after seeing videos or photographs like the ones in the vid. I'm sure thats what this video is all about..

  • @magix93 i think that he is the best photojournalist. He is a complete phographer, sensible (because what he did in that escene) and a great artist.

  • He wanted to emulate the original war photographers the Vietnam era Photographers were the best and are still copied today. Jim had nothing on the "Vietnam photo Vets"
