This is a classic "junk bug" originated by Chuck Tryon. A good choice at the tail end of runoff on the Yellowstone River (and other big freestone rivers). Pitch it right into the junk on a heavy tippet. Fish dead-drift or twitched. HOOK: 3-4xl nymph/streamer (here bent shank), #4-12. WEIGHT: lead or tin wire. TAILS/ANTENNAE: medium rubber legs or spandex leg material. BODY: medium chenille. HACKLE: ratty grizzly, dyed grizzly, furnace, or badger hackle.
