  • joe is joe and he can make any guitar sound like a million bucks

    this video proves it period!!!!!!

  • Joe just flails! His bag of tricks is huge and vocabulary enormous. You just never what he is gonna throw down. Middle age. Me thinks not. Just seasoned... New album is Monster Too by the way. Dust Bowl Baby, Black Lung Heartache.

do you think joe would have signed with gibson if he didnt want to just to make money. if you do they you really cheapen his music and what his music means. joe is one of the very very few musicians out there who doesnt seem to give a toss about the money. if he did i dont think he would tour over 300 days out of the year.

your exactly saying what i am saying him being more versatile (experimental in his youth ) so what the heck are u rambling on about :P ? and joe has to make is money 2 its not about if he doesn't play a Gibson he isn't him self he needs to make the people at Gibson happy so he can cash his cheque

  • @levitheguitarplayer excuse me mr patronising.

just watch 2 videos of him playing. live at rockpalast and live at the royal albert hall... you will notice what i am talking about. i have tried my hardest to emulate his style and i have to say he was much more experimental in his youth.

and according to joe, it does matter “For me to be myself, I have to play a Les Paul. I plug it in and it sounds like me—exactly the way I’m supposed to sound. Anything else just doesn’t make sense"

  • @matthewrotherham

It doesnt matter what kinda guitar you play... i advice you jsut to listen to joe's stuff more closely maybe try and transcribe some songs from him then you might get my point of view

  • @levitheguitarplayer how joe used to be on strats... young and eager to prove himself. he has just become too relaxed in his near middle age. dont get me wrong, i think he should use gibbo's but this was just the 21 year old joe all over again.

  • i finally saw the old joe back! the one that doesnt do the same EJ lick in every solo. This was a really nicee solo it shows yet again that he can adapt and play allot of different styles !
