OUTRAGE OVER TSA ARROGANCE

The first Congressional hearings on TSA's new policy of using millimeter wave scanners that can reveal nakedness and sexually intrusive pat-downs are an outrage for those who have had to endure the new procedures. Democrats applauded the TSA's chief who claimed to be sensitive to passenger concerns but still defiant of public objections to scanners that see through clothes: "Will I change anything? NO!" Several republican representatives at the press conference muttered, "We'll see about that!" But it's much worse; Americans are finding out that TSA employees are told that once in a security area, you are not allowed to leave without their permission, and they don't need probable cause to hold you. They have also been told by the agency that "when Americans buy a ticket, they give up their civil rights against search." Really? Lawsuits are piling up against the TSA for sexual abuse in pat-downs. If the courts let the TSA get away with this, there will be hell to pay. Glenn Beck, who I believe to be a good man at heart, is a servant of elite power. And that's not some shadowy group off in some castle in Europe or something. I'm talking about big business (which they like to call "small business") capitalists who want deregulation and small government in every way that checks their power. It may sound like a nice idea to have totally free voluntary agreements between people and businesses, but those two parties are are by no means on a level playing field.
