  • SImply hilarious. thanks for helping with my US history midterm guys.

  • LMAO! Amazing!

  • Indeed if you look at the Popular vote in the First 7-8 Elections, many States did not allow anyone to vote. In the Second Presidential Election only 6 of 15 States allowed the People to vote.

This is the way the Constitution was written, State Soveriegnty was based on that the State Legislatures were given the Authority to Elected the Government Officials. Johnson was merely standing up for the Constitution, because the States had already refused ratification of the 14th Amendements.

  • The result of the 14th Amendment was that the Several States no longer had Citizens, all inhabitants of this Country are now US Citzens. State, being another word for Nation, requires having Citizens. Without Citizens, there is no Nation.. Prior to the 14th Amendment, the States decided who voted in Elections. The Constittution did not require them to allow ANYONE to vote.

  • This is such a GROSS misrepresentation of what truely happened. The Usurption was commited by the Radical Republicans, not Johnson. The Southern States, which had been readmitted into the Union, and had ratified the 13th Amendment, were kicked out of the Congress because they refused to ratifiy the 14th Amendment. Their State were then Occupied by Military Dictators and by Military Force the 14th Amendment was passed.

  • wow... nice try.... this is horrible you obviously have never read anything about Andrew Johnson.... I live in his hometown and this is ridiculous

  • wtf

  • DOO DO DOO DOO!!! ANDY JOHNSON!!
