  • @markscx426 I agree with you my best guess is that the Spokane and Couer D'alene metropolitans got a little over 2 feet so far this year. I still am not digging this Winter as much as i did the winter before, when I found out that only 22% of Continental USA got snow as of early January I freaked out. The Northwest was not part of the 88% though we had a bad snow drought through mid-December. Wedsnday Jan. 17th was a big change in the Northwest.

  • @Ilovewashers Yeah but this year its the opposite.

  • The stupidest winter ever that year, while the East was in Hell in Feb., Spokane Washington barely reached a foot of snow overall, the most common times it was below freezing was when it was a clear night. 12" overall that Winter!!! Let me take out my calculator. . . let's see 49"-12"=37" that's 37" of snow below average. Farmers were worried so was the water suppliers!

  • I live in northern Va and the 09-10 winter was one to remember. This year I believe we will finally just have an old fashioned winter. Everything I have seen has pointed to

Accumulating snow in early december and cold to mid Feb. Then a nice warm up for several weeks and march will come in like a lion. The mid Atlantic is a very tough place to

Forecast . It's all about the Art Oscillation staying negative and driving down cold shots and a winter storm on the right path. Look 1996 was a La Nina

  • I live in Maryland and we got nailed by a lot of snow, which was the biggest winter I have ever been in by far. And I have been checking on the winter outlook for 2011-2012 and it looks like the Mid-Atlantic region will be having another snowy winter :)

  • i live in boston and it was a mild winter and we got below average snowfall

  • well except for december, they were nearly spot on, especially in the northeast and southwest. and the midwest was cold most of the winter!

  • Looks like you just got your wish! Enjoy!

  • you are, youve already proven you are off track with your earlier predictions , expect to see lower then avg temps to close out the year but dont expect much in the way of snow a few inches here and there until feb
