  • I don't think he was a ham at all. He seemed like a quiet, introspective guy who was just naturally funny. He did dramatic turns on "Twilight Zone" and. of course, the great film "Harry & Tonto". A very gifted guy with a real touch for pathos.

  • I love the fake chewing gum thing in the beginning, right as he sits down.

  • Art was the original Felix Unger.  He played opposite Walter Matthau in The Odd Couple on Broadway.

  • He had great handwriting... compared to the other comedians I've seen in all these clips. Favorite is still Buddy Hackett's drawing of himself though.
