Just got back from Vegas last night, after mixing 7 new Journey songs. They're outstanding. For the record, I think Arnel is 'the business!' The guy can really sing! He handles the ballads with SO much heart & belts the rockers as hard & melodically, as anyone I have heard. The songs are sensational, wonderfully crafted & deep. And I'm being serious.."

Tonsils are glads and have no function in singing. Your larynx is your "voice box" with your vocal cords. But yes you're correct his cords are probably strained. Warming up an cooling down are essitial to vocal health on tour. Eating right and sleep help as well. Pushing on stage shouldn't be an issue he's in journey for gods sake they should have a great in ear monitor system! haha. But always remember your voice is just a muscle and they get tired Singers don't get to turn a knob to fix us!

If i could give my insite on Arnel's singing on clubs in Manila and Hongkong for years he work harder there with 4-6 hours set of singing everynight! with less pay and now his world tour approx 1.5 hrs to 2 the most and get paid well! think that sounds a lot more welcoming to me! His voice is used to straining this routine for the last 25 years I am sure he could survive the 60-70 dates of venue! I will pray for you Arnel! love!!!u!
