omaha was a US beach. i don't know why they didn't pay more adequate respect to the british and canadians. omaha was a bloodbath so i suppose those who make these decisions decided omaha as the centrepiece. politics likey played a part. i am certain there were ceremonies at the british and canadian beaches and graves. and anyway sarkozy is so far up obama's arse he can kiss his tonsils. and brown should go away and hide for the rest of his life. what an idiot. 'obama beach'...he is unfit for PM.

I cant believe the french Government titled this a 'Franco-American' affair, what so Britain played no part. Considering there were more British soldiers there than both American, French and Canadian i don't understand. What made the matter worse was that they also didn't invite the Queen.
