"Do you know that you are
the heaven inside me
when my old heaven turned out to be just a theater scene
Do you hear it shouting
- the voice of eternity -
it is the sound of love
Do you know that you visited
my soul;
I do not know even myself to have been there
I think that I saw you
somewhere before
...as child when I believed in miracles".
From the song Taivas sisälläni (= The Heaven inside me) by Kaija Koo
The above words from the song describe well what kind of social feedback, social atmosphere, I got when I used a social style according to this paradise movement idea of mine, and sincerely: I was not especially socially skilled to begin with, not with any deep insight into the human nature - just an ordinary person valuing feelings.
Please try out this paradise movement idea yourself in your own life! It is just absolutely incredible! The voice of our own heart is very much the same as that of others.
If you think that the times are rough and the people around yourself are more safety oriented than happiness oriented, start with loving safety and what it brings: that is the first step toward better for you!
You can also consider this thought as a way of social problem solving: find in which ways it is possible for others to live and fit that together with your own living requirements. If You are very different, You may need a different way of saying the same thing: those who are not free, yearn for freedom, those in danger for safety, the suffering for a peace of mind, the miserable for happiness etc. What is just one value among others for one, can be a distant dream for another one. But the direction that we aim at, according to our own understanding, in ways that vary according to our personality and our situation, is always the same: toward a better life in better living conditions and toward a safe future for us. All human action is in essence like that. That is what is meant by good and consequently that is what moral, the base of society, handles, that is what moral ultimately means: action according to the ages and ages old human nature.
This way of life I consider very near the ideal of "doing everything" (= curing your own life and that of your social environment, and saving the world if this way of life spreads like it ought to) "without needing to do anything", without needing to differ in your actions from your nature at all.
We all long for good life. That's what moral too is a question about.
How to put this into practice? Follow your feelings, respect the things which you support with all your heart and avoid the things that ruin the good things in the world.
Use a holistic view of the world and everything will be this simple, moral equal to supporting happy life.
Following feelings helps to answer the needs of oneself, of the society and of the living environment. Answering their needs safeguards their health. That gives strength.
So this thought about following feelings is no nonsense.
I got a friendly sounding answer from the White House of U.S.A. to an e-mail containing this thought...
And also another answer from the United Nations Headquarters!
Saying this in a different way: I value this in my life, so I value it and the things that are analogious to it also in the lives of all the others: safety with roughly justice, happiness,... This makes it possible for You to ally with ALL the others, for a better world to live in!
Hello Hannele :^) -- I believe you are on the right track and wishing you more energy to pursue this quest that is ultimately good for the entire life systems in our tiny and fragile planet.*****
