A lot of singers took a stab at this old song from the thirties. There's even an interesting 1960 rockabilly rendition by Pete Roberts. I've listened to all the versions on YouTube and IMO Charlie's performance here wins hands down for fantastic instrumental and vocal treatment as well as its raw sensuality. Absolutely amazing for a guy who was so young at the time.

Oh, it is the pardon -- 「BOØWY」

This nice sound --
I feel that "BO?WY" of a famous Japanese band is very affected.
I heard sound and understand immediately.

Great song! Great voice! Brilliant live performance ... sounds much better in its live arrangement than on the album. Does anyone know when and where this video was filmed? Some international pressings of the 12" single of "Hold Me" have a "live" version listed as the A-side. Is this the same version? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Charlie Sexton
Loveing You ~♪♪♪♪♪ -
oh yeah sexy man with 80's hair

Cool dude and slick video. Charlie's got more talent than the law allows and he works his butt off!

@eq8orial O.K.... P.J.'s is the original rocking version! The song which came out long ago was a ballad up until Proby, with the help of Jack Good, turned it into a manic rocker...& when I say manic I mean it LOL! Charlie's is a cool rocker but P.J.'s is frantic & OTT like a lot of his recordings, that's what makes him so special! Proby "just a singer"!? listen to some of his ballads & you may change your mind!
I was so crazy about Charlie Sexton in my teens...thanks for the great song and it brings back so many fond memories...
