now i don't believe in defining someone by words, but i had this guy i worked with who would call people of color niggers, and i found offense with this and he was dark skinned, i said i don't think that's appropriate for you to call people niggers, i don't understand why you would want to glorify this word and be good with it, i 1) dont understand why this is a good term, and i 2) i don't know why you would like to glorify this term, i don't get it

@pandalord112 I know right, or when one of my female friends get called a bitch by one of her friends, nothing happens. But when I dude walks up to her and calls her a bitch she finds a huge problem with it, and just gets wound up even though they used it in the same manner. "Bitch, please." -.- People can be so jaded. I guess it takes a certain understanding to realize if you call someone of your same race/gender a "nasty word" Other people are gunna go "hey I can do that too!"

When you say "no one can say 'nigger'" does that mean black people as well? Because almost every single day I see blacks call each other niggers. And I'm just like "Why do that to yourselves"? I was brought up in a pretty country family. And I was taught the difference between a nigger and a black person. I have several close friends that are black, and would never think of calling them a nigger. But there friends call them nigger. Lol it just doesn't make sense to me.

@1981grand It's a shame when we see in today's society that black americans are so accepting of the use of that word in language, music, and entertainment, not by white people as much, but our own race. We are so blissfully happy to call each other a word that not so long ago you would find yourself in danger of a beating if used. There lies the ignorance. @bibbeny "Use AGAINST me" implies that I get offended or feel disrespected... I don't get offended at the next man's ignorance... If not being affected by words makes me ignorant so-be-it... WORDS have no power unless given to them... It's not the term but the intentions behind it... As far as giving people the right to do something... THIS IS AMERICA... People do what they choose... @1981grand Who is left looking ignorant? The person who uses the word AND the person who accepts it. When you use that word, when you call someone that or accept it you give not only give people the right to use it against you, but me as well. And THAT is totally unacceptable.
