Based on FIFA rules women soccer players are NOT allowed to have veils and that's why Iran's women team is not allowed to play in any international leagues. FIFA says on its website that the player's equipment must not carry any political, religious, or personal statements, and that all items of clothing or equipment other than the basic must be inspected by the referee and determined not to be dangerous.

@bztheman okay so what your telling me for the first time ever fifa is interfeering with government situations usally governments interfeer with sports and fifa then banns till.......whatever....usally a year till they decide oh politics and sports dont go togather or shouldnt interfeer with one another so...... fifaaaaaaaaa dont hate iran as a country for being strict on their women which all countries should do but a i guess ppl dont have pride like others !~!~!!!

Go ahead and laugh at them in those dress! But my advice to the Iranian Women team, keep training hard and don't lose heart! Alhough FIFA forbids you to play in the World Cup, you still need to play somewhere in a very competitive environment to improve. I suggest the Iranian FA let the Iranian woman national team participate in the Iranian Men 2nd league for example. FIFA will not be able to stop this! And then, you may try an unofficial friendly one day with the world cup champ, IF they dare!

I think he meant that women should have the basic choice of whether to wear hejab or not. They are equal to men, and men have a choice of what to wear. That is FIFA's rightful wish as well. Even Arabic countries do not enforce it as Iran does!

@Mrgyn Yeah like the virgin mary, Catholic and Christian nuns, and modest women of many countries protect exposure of their flesh in public out of modesty. That is respectable compared to the lewd culture of exposure of flesh and showing off one's wife and daughters in the fornication/prostitution/porno­graphy culture of western countries, whose birth rates are declining as homosexuality and masturbation is arising due to the sexually charged disorder in society.
