Wow, so sorry it didn't work out. I must say I have very much enjoyed your videos. I left Panama in 1976, and miss home so much. Watching your videos brought some very good memories for me. You seem to have such a positive attitude, so I imagine there must have been something that made this happen.
Thaks so much for sharing, and best of luck on your new adventures.

@PsychSyke Well, you have said it. It was not the first country outside of the U.S. What does that tell us? If people get the shightest hint of arrogance from a foreigner, they will make that foreigner feel un-welcome in their country. Take that little golden nugget with you to your next destination.. Good luck! By the way, I'm writing from New York. You think Panamanians are not warm?

Hello, I am a Texas girl living in Costa Rica for about 4 months now. It has been fun and boring. I visited Panama City last month and I think I def. want to live there. I don't know where to start. Do you have any contacts or friends who need a great roommate?

Sorry it didn't work out for you, but you guys don't seem like Panama type people anyway. I watched your other video's and you just seem to up tight. Panama doesn't cater to gringo's. It's there country not ours. Good luck though.

@glennjr68 Thank you for the well wishes. It was the most challenging country either one of us had lived in (it certainly wasn't our first outside of the States). Panama definitely does have some qualities worth exploring but it was clear that we were ready for new adventures.

You never liked Panama, and Panama never liked you. I get the feeling you are disappointed because Panamanians did not kiss your gringo ass, hence the "warmer people" bit. Anyway, adios!

@53398 has nothing to do with "ass kissing." I'm a southern gal raised with southern manners from a dirt-poor state. I came from very little and worked hard for my placement in life. So, it's always difficult for me to fit in with people who disregard the golden rule of treating others how you wish to be treated. Your comment only slightly highlights my experience of Panama's "warmth."
