  • Thank you for posting it,I enjoyed it!

  • @Noshirm Thank you for the informations!

  • @morinoroba Agreed, Ai! Thank heavens for Hexameron's channel, where we've discovered this treasure! Yes, the arrangement was made by Harold Bauer, who also made arrangements of some of Franck's other works, including one for organ. His playing of the 'Prelude, Chorale, and Fugue' was quite unique, in that he left out certain groups of notes in places, claiming the piece sounded 'better' that way! (:-D) He was a real iconoclast; his editions of Schumann may seem controversial to purists!

  • @Noshirm So,is it arranged by someone based on Franck's music/theme?

  • @Noshirm I love Franck's music...I didn't know this one though,it is also very spiritual and beautiful indeed.

  • @KeithWhalen11 Agreed! I came upon this piece by chance and favorited it immediately. I wish I knew who the pianist was, though.

  • marvelous transcription, an ugly rendition of the music

  • A nice arrangement and nice mood music. Franck's original conception seems to have been somewhat faster - "andantino" - slightly faster than a walking pace!

  • It's on IMSLP. Man, this is such beautiful music.

  • It' s possible to send me the sheet?

    Thanks!
